Located along Belfield Street, nowadays known as Jalan Sultan Yusuff; in the 1950s, this three-storey building that owns the Renaissance style became one of the oldest commercial buildings in Ipoh as it was built at the turn of the last century. S.P.H. De Silva was popularly known as a silversmith and became famous for the manufacture of trophies, shields and medals for decades. He turned the building into a retail centre that produced gifts and fineries in order to stay ahead of his competitors like T.A. Adris, P.G. Mattheshamy and B.P. De Silva.
The building was left vacant for at least two decades before it was bought over. The new owners began restoration works on the property since 2013.
